Jakun

Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Mok, Kuala Rompin, Pahang

Currently serving as her kampung’s secretary, Zabianna is helping to shape a local eco-tourism project. Grounded in her community, she plans to remain in her kampung and develop her own agricultural projects in the years ahead. Motivated to empower her community, particularly the youth, she champions lifelong learning and meaningful participation to create sustainable opportunities from within.

the Allyship Pledge

We recognise that a sustainable, thriving future is inherently relational and reciprocal. As signatories, we accept our shared agency and responsibility in shaping such futures.

We will, therefore, take action and begin from where we are. In Malaysia, this starts with principled, intentional, and meaningful allyship with the Orang Asli.

We therefore commit to stand with the Orang Asli as allies: to listen with humility, show up in solidarity, and walk alongside them in their pursuit of justice, equity, and self-determination – whether as those who call Malaysia home, or as guests upon this land.
